Welcome to The Eco Guy! I’m Edgar, the founder, creator, and editor of The Eco Guy.

As an everyday homeowner with no experience in the solar industry, I was fed up with rising electricity prices from my local utility. I decided to look into installing solar panels in my home and knew I had to educate myself before making any decisions. After spending countless hours researching online and dealing with pushy sales representatives, I finally found a reputable local company and was able to sign an offer that worked for me.

I realized there were many others out there who were in the same situation I had been in, so I decided to create The Eco Guy. My goal is to provide resources and information about rooftop solar technology which allows homeowners to become educated on solar energy.

I am a passionate and dedicated supporter of sustainability, green energy, and reducing CO2 emissions for future generations. My wife and I have been pioneers in the green energy movement ever since we started looking into solar energy for our home in 2020.

In late 2020, my wife and I decided to take the plunge and bought an electric vehicle to continue our journey toward a sustainable lifestyle. We are proud to have offset our electricity usage with rooftop solar and to be contributing to the fight against climate change.
